13 provinces in southern China have suffered from devastating flood caused by sudden downpour since 3 June 2011. Some areas of these provinces were still experiencing continous drought before 3 June 2011. The sharp shift from drought to floods in China is believed by Chinese government that it will somehow affected the safety of summer grain.
