The average cane sugar price in China on 15 June 2011 was USD1,114/t (RMB7,217/t), down 4% over the average price on 10 November 2010—when the price is the highest in the past several years, according to the China Sugar Index from www.yntw.com—a famous sugar website in China. However, the current price still stays at a high level, and it is estimated that the sugar price will remain at a high level this year, higher than USD1,080/t (RMB7,000/t).
